2022.5–2026 GM T93 Global B Transmission Tuning

Overview

2022.5–2026 GM T93 Global B Transmission Tuning is a custom remote transmission calibration service for supported Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles equipped with the GM Global B architecture and T93 Transmission Control Module.

Rather than using a generic transmission calibration, each tune is developed around your specific vehicle, engine combination, modifications, tire size, engine calibration, intended use, and desired transmission behavior. The remote-tuning process allows transmission operation to be evaluated using actual vehicle data and refined for shift quality, torque management, drivability, and coordination between the engine and transmission.

Vehicle Compatibility

This service is intended for supported GM Global B vehicles equipped with the T93 TCM. Compatibility is determined by the actual controller and application rather than model year alone.

Supported applications include applicable:

Chevrolet

• Silverado 1500 — 5.3L V8

• Silverado 1500 — 6.2L V8

• Silverado 1500 — 3.0L Duramax, where equipped with a supported Global B T93

• Silverado 2500HD / 3500HD — 6.6L L5P Duramax with supported Global B T93, including supported 2024–2026 applications

GMC

• Sierra 1500 — 5.3L V8

• Sierra 1500 — 6.2L V8

• Sierra 1500 — 3.0L Duramax, where equipped with a supported Global B T93

• Sierra 2500HD / 3500HD — 6.6L L5P Duramax with supported Global B T93, including supported 2024–2026 applications

Cadillac

• CT4-V — applicable Global B T93 applications

HP Tuners specifically identifies the T93 Global B controller in applications including 2022–2026 CT5-V Blackwing, 2022–2026 CT4-V Blackwing and Global B Silverado/Sierra applications. HP Tuners expanded its T93 coverage in December 2025 to include all known T93 service numbers, including units used in 2024–2026 Silverado/Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD L5P trucks.

Exact compatibility must still be confirmed by vehicle and T93 controller before ordering.

How Remote Tuning Works

• Provide the requested vehicle information, VIN, modifications, tire size, engine calibration information, intended use, and desired transmission behavior.

• Verify that the vehicle is equipped with a supported GM Global B T93 TCM.

• Complete the required HP Tuners Global B T93 upgrade service.

• License the upgraded T93 using the required HP Tuners Universal Credits.

• Read and flash the supported TCM using HP Tuners VCM Suite and a compatible interface.

• Provide requested data logs when needed so transmission operation can be evaluated using data from your actual vehicle.

• Receive calibration revisions through the remote-tuning process until the initial transmission tune is completed.

Important Fitment, Unlock & Licensing Notes

• Supported tuning platform: HP Tuners.

• Controller: GM T93 TCM.

• Architecture: This product is specifically for Global B T93 applications. It should not be confused with earlier/non-Global-B T93 applications.

• T93 upgrade required: The original T93 TCM must receive the HP Tuners GM T93 TCM Global B Upgrade Service before custom transmission tuning can be performed.

• HP Tuners licensing: 4 Universal Credits are required to license the T93 TCM. Credits are separate from The Tune Shop transmission tuning service and separate from the controller upgrade service.

• Interface requirement: GM Global B tuning requires an HP Tuners MPVI3 or MPVI4. MPVI2/MPVI2+ and earlier interfaces are not compatible with HP Tuners' Global B support.

• Software requirement: Use the latest applicable version of HP Tuners VCM Suite Beta.

• TDN/RTD support: HP Tuners supports applicable Global B T93 remote-tuning workflows using RTD3 and RTD4 devices.

• Engine tuning is separate: This transmission tuning service does not include ECM tuning, ECM licensing, or an ECM unlock/upgrade.

• Controller verification: Exact compatibility should be confirmed from the vehicle and T93 controller/service number before ordering.

Global B T93 Upgrade Requirement

The factory Global B T93 cannot be custom tuned with HP Tuners until it has received the required controller upgrade.

For Global B applications, HP Tuners currently requires its GM T93 TCM Service (Global B). This is different from the newer direct OBD-II upgrade available for non-Global-B/Global A T93 controllers.

Do not select a standard/non-Global-B T93 service for a Global B vehicle.

After the Global B upgrade is completed, the T93 can be calibrated, scanned, and data logged through the OBD-II port using a compatible HP Tuners interface.

Transmission Relearn

After flashing a new transmission calibration, the transmission may require an adaptation/relearn period before final shift quality can be evaluated.

Follow any vehicle-specific relearn instructions supplied by The Tune Shop. During the initial relearn period, use moderate throttle and allow the transmission to complete normal upshifts and downshifts before progressively increasing load and throttle.

Avoid judging final shift quality solely from the first few shifts immediately following a flash.
