Vehicle Owner Responsibility

The owner and operator of the vehicle are solely responsible for:

Determining whether a product is legal to purchase, install, or use in their jurisdiction.
Ensuring the vehicle remains compliant with all applicable emissions, safety, registration, and inspection requirements.
Verifying compatibility with their specific vehicle.
Proper installation and maintenance of all aftermarket products.

The Tune Shop cannot determine the legal status of a customer's vehicle or intended use and does not provide legal advice regarding vehicle compliance.

Performance Products

Many products sold by The Tune Shop are aftermarket performance products intended for enthusiasts, racing applications, or specialized vehicle builds.

Performance modifications may:

The customer assumes all risks associated with installing or operating modified vehicles.

Emissions Compliance

Customers are responsible for ensuring that any products purchased are used in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local emissions regulations.

The Tune Shop does not authorize, encourage, or condone the unlawful removal, defeat, bypass, or tampering of emissions-control equipment on motor vehicles operated on public roads or highways.

Competition and Off-Road Use

Certain aftermarket products may be intended solely for:

Closed-course competition
Racing applications
Off-road vehicles
Vehicles that are not operated on public roads or highways

If a vehicle has had emissions-control equipment removed, modified, bypassed, disabled, or otherwise tampered with, that vehicle should be considered a competition or race-use vehicle only, unless otherwise permitted by applicable law.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that such vehicles are not operated on public roads in violation of applicable regulations.

Custom Tuning Services

Custom tuning services are created based upon customer-provided vehicle information and intended use.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding:

Vehicle identification
Engine
Transmission
Fuel type
Installed modifications
Intended application

The Tune Shop reserves the right to decline any tuning request that it believes would violate applicable law or is otherwise inconsistent with its business policies.
