How Remote Tuning Works
- Submit complete vehicle, modification, fuel, and tuning-goal information.
- Confirm the exact engine/controller and complete any required controller service.
- Read and flash the supported controller with compatible HP Tuners hardware.
- Install the supplied base calibration and provide requested data logs.
- Receive calibration revisions needed to complete the initial tune.
Important Fitment & Licensing Notes
- Licensing: 8 HP Tuners Universal Credits required for ECM/PCM licensing.
- Controller service: The linked HP Tuners controller upgrade/unlock service is required and is purchased separately.
- Hardware: A currently supported HP Tuners interface and application-appropriate connection hardware are required.
- Credits, hardware, cables, and controller services are separate from The Tune Shop tuning-service price.
- Vehicle year alone does not confirm fitment; verify the exact engine and controller before ordering.

Remote Tune
Our complete remote-tuning service. Your calibration is developed around the vehicle's actual combination and refined using requested datalogs and calibration revisions as reasonably necessary to complete the initial tuning process.
Remote Forced Induction Tune
Our complete remote-tuning service for applicable aftermarket or substantially modified forced-induction combinations. This option includes calibration development, requested datalog review, and revisions appropriate for the supported turbocharged or supercharged combination.

HP Tuners is pleased to offer custom tuning support for GM Global B E90 and E93 ECMs found in select GM vehicles (see vehicle list below). This one-time, send-in upgrade service is required to enable diagnostics and tuning capabilities through VCM Suite.

The Details
This one-time service upgrades an original E90 ECM or E93 ECM (Global B generation only) and is required for tuning using HP Tuners’ software.
Users must physically remove their original ECM from their vehicle and ship it to HP Tuners’ headquarters for servicing. Once upgraded, users have full access to calibrate, log, and scan via the OBDII port.
Note: No IMMO relearn, crank relearn, or “Replace ECM” function in VCM Scanner is required as long as the ECM returns to the same vehicle it came from.

Once upgraded, purchase the required Universal Credits to license your ECM/vehicle.
GM Global B vehicle support is only compatible with our MPVI3 or MPVI4 interface.
Note: Universal Credits for licensing are not included in the cost of any upgrade service or purchase. Credits must be purchased separately

- Stock Read Required: I understand that I must submit a stock read file or the required vehicle/ECM read information before custom tuning can be created. Tuning cannot begin until the required information has been received.
- Custom Vehicle-Specific Tuning: I understand that all tuning is custom-made specifically for my vehicle, regardless of whether the vehicle is stock or modified. I am responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding the vehicle, installed modifications, and current configuration.
- Initial Tune Turnaround: I understand that the initial custom tune typically requires 3–5 business days to complete after all required files, read information, and vehicle information have been received.
- Tune Revision Turnaround: I understand that requested tune revisions may require up to 2 business days to complete after the necessary datalogs, feedback, or other requested information has been submitted.
