The remote-tuning process allows the calibration to be refined using vehicle data so throttle response, drivability, torque management, transmission interaction, and overall engine behavior are matched to the truck's actual setup.

How Remote Tuning Works

Important Fitment & Licensing Notes

PCM unlock / upgrade: These vehicles require an HP Tuners-compatible PCM upgrade before tuning. HP Tuners requires this service for supported 2015+ Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram PCMs.
Smart Access Cable: A Dodge 2018+ Smart Access Cable is required for these vehicles to provide the necessary access for reading, writing, and special functions.
HP Tuners licensing: HP Tuners lists 2 credits for ECM licensing for its supported 2019–2021 Ram 1500 DS/DT 5.7L applications. Credits are separate from The Tune Shop tuning service.
Additional licensing may be required if transmission tuning or another supported controller is being tuned.
Exact compatibility should be confirmed by model year, VIN, engine configuration, and controller before ordering, particularly for 2022 applications.

Our complete remote-tuning service for applicable aftermarket or substantially modified forced-induction combinations. This option includes calibration development, requested datalog review, and revisions appropriate for the supported turbocharged or supercharged combination.
