The Tune Shop Calibration Revision Service

Overview

Tune Revision is a service for customers who previously purchased custom tuning from The Tune Shop and need their existing calibration updated to accommodate supported vehicle changes, modifications, or drivability adjustments. Rather than purchasing an entirely new tuning service, eligible customers can have their existing Tune Shop calibration reviewed and revised for their current vehicle configuration.

This service is intended for revisions to an existing Tune Shop calibration and is not a substitute for a new tune when major changes place the vehicle outside the scope of the original tuning service.

When You May Need a Tune Revision

A tune revision may be appropriate after supported changes such as:

• Tire or gear ratio changes
• Intake or exhaust modifications
• Injector, fuel-system, or other supported hardware changes
• Turbocharger or supercharger changes when supported by the original tuning service
• Changes to fuel type or octane
• Transmission or drivetrain changes that affect the existing calibration
• Drivability adjustments
• Changes to supported tuning options or preferences
• Other supported modifications that require the existing calibration to be updated

Additional revisions for subsequent vehicle changes may require another Tune Revision purchase.

Customer Requirements

Please provide accurate and complete information so we can properly review the requested changes:

• Original The Tune Shop order number
• Vehicle VIN
• Year, make, model, and engine
• Current vehicle configuration
• Complete list of modifications
• Changes made since the previous calibration
• Tuning platform being used
• Tuning device information when applicable
• Description of the requested changes or drivability concerns
• Current calibration information when requested
• Data logs when requested by The Tune Shop

Providing incomplete or inaccurate vehicle information may delay the revision process.

How the Revision Process Works

1. Purchase the Tune Revision service and provide your original Tune Shop order information.
2. Tell us exactly what has changed since your existing calibration was completed.
3. The Tune Shop will review your existing calibration and determine whether the requested changes fall within the scope of a tune revision.
4. We may request a vehicle read, current tune file, diagnostic information, or data logs before making changes.
5. Your calibration will be revised for the approved changes.
6. The updated calibration will be delivered through the appropriate tuning platform or electronic delivery process.
7. Additional data logging may be requested to verify the revised calibration.

Supported Tuning Platforms

Tune revisions are available for eligible calibrations originally supplied by The Tune Shop using supported tuning platforms, including applicable:

• HP Tuners
• EFILive
• EZ LYNK
• Other supported platforms where the original Tune Shop calibration can be revised

Platform availability depends on the original tuning service, vehicle, controller, and device being used.

Important Eligibility Notes

This service is specifically for an existing calibration originally supplied by The Tune Shop.

A Tune Revision does not automatically include:

• A completely new custom tune for a different vehicle
• Tuning for an additional ECM, TCM, or other controller not included in the original service
• Additional tuning-platform licenses, credits, tokens, or VIN licenses
• Controller unlock or upgrade services
• New tuning hardware or devices
• Mechanical diagnosis or repair
• Extensive troubleshooting unrelated to the calibration
• Changes that exceed the supported scope of the original tuning service

Major changes to the vehicle may require purchasing a new custom tuning service rather than a Tune Revision.

Licensing & Device Requirements

Existing tuning-platform licensing generally remains associated with the vehicle or controller according to the requirements of the platform originally used. However, additional licensing, credits, tokens, hardware, or controller services may be required if the vehicle configuration or tuning method has changed.

Any additional required licensing, hardware, or unlock services are separate from the Tune Revision unless specifically stated otherwise.

Turnaround & Delivery

Once the required information and requested data have been received, The Tune Shop will review the revision request and prepare the updated calibration.

Turnaround time can vary depending on the vehicle, requested changes, data-log requirements, and complexity of the revision. Revised files are delivered electronically or through the supported tuning platform used for the vehicle.
